With over 14 years' experience in personal training I provide a friendly, professional, and I hope fun,approach to training. My service is completely personalised and can cater for a wide range of abilities and fitness requirements. I am a member of REPS at grade 3 and I am particularly well qualified to provide fitness training to the more mature, as I am just peaking myself!

Functional Fitness
This is what I am really about! How can you get yourself not only fit but in a functional way that will carry over into your every day life? It's no use being able to do bicep curls if putting the kids into a car seat hurts your back!
Machines and free weights often fail to address this side of fitness, particularly in relation to core stability. You may already have heard of it: core stability simply refers to the ability of your body to keep itself in a safe and controlled position (primarily for your spine) whilst the extremities (arms and legs) are performing tasks, be they sports-related, such as running; jumping; hitting or simply every day tasks, such as cleaning, shopping, decorating, lifting children or whatever! It is absolutely key to any level of fitness: for the sake of a healthy, pain-free back in functional fitness or for optimal performance in sports fitness. This type of work can easily be undertaken with little or no equipment in the comfort or convenience of your home or office.
